Mall of America
Last weekend, hubby and I went to Minneapolis for a wedding. While there, we visited the Mall of America. Like tourists at the Grand Canyon, we snapped pictures on all four levels (one level almost entirely food) that surround an amusement park. It’s quite a monument to shopping in America.
And it is a tourist attraction, complete with its own Gift Shop full of t-shirts, mugs, shot glasses, hats, and anything else you can print a logo on.
My favorite bit of irony? The plush piggy bank with “Mall of America” stitched on the side. A cardboard coin is placed part way into the slot - just in case you didn’t know where to spend put your money.

This makes me sad
“Gastric bypass surgery has long been a dramatic solution for obese adults, but more doctors are operating on teenagers, too.”
Good programming might be the better solution
NBC is going to air mini-movies interspersed with commercials to keep viewers from flipping the channel. If they are all like “The Pussycat Dolls,” well, let’s just say I’d rather watch that horrible Pacifica commercial with Celine Dion.
