A good bag is hard to find
I’m trying to find a new bag. Yes, a diaper bag, but one that can pass for just a handbag. Not too big, but with enough space to carry a diaper, some wipes, a snack, and maybe a car or two along with my wallet and phone/PDA. Wow. When I write it out it doesn’t even sound easy. I got lucky for the spring/summer with a small tote style bag from Urban Femme in South Orange. It’s good because it has a snap-out pocket for my wallet and phone but it’s a little big and doesn’t close. Plus it’s hard to carry when i’m holding Nate or pushing him on his trike.
So I’m on a quest for a good one for the fall.
I’m considering a Fleurville Escape Pod, but it may be to fancy for the playground and also, will it last beyond the diaper-bag stage? For $50 I want to be sure I will really like it.
all the neighbors have been talking
My parents and my in-laws both live in 55+ communities — and very nice ones, too. Both couples also have some wacky neighbors. But I guess that makes sense: in all the places I’ve ever lived, the nosy, crotchety, or just plain odd people were mostly over 55. And if you take all the 55 and over people and put them in gated communities together, I suppose the ratio of normal to wacky would be higher than outside the gates.
